Liverpool have made a bid for Southampton captain Adam Lallana, according to a BBC report. The 26-year-old midfielder has been an essential player for Southampton this season, scoring 10 goals in 42 matches and also earning three England caps. He was included in England's World Cup squad by coach Roy Hodgson and has admitted that he would like to play at a higher level in the future. "I'm ambitious," he said.
