Manchester City can move up to the top of the table if they grab all three points when they visit West Ham on Saturday at Upton Park. On the other hand the Hammers could make a big move themselves if they grab all three points, they could enter the top four. Earlier this season Slaven Bilic and his men produced a big upset, beating Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium. That was only their second win out of 13 matches against City, who last won at Upton Park in 2013.
West Ham are currently sixth in the Premier League table, just four points off fourth place. They have been playing well lately, even though last weekend they were defeated 2-1 by relegation-threatened Newcastle. They have also improved their squad with a young prospect, Sam Byram from Leeds United was signed despite being a target for quite a few big clubs. The youngster might have to wait for a while before making his debut though, while Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho will miss out through injury.
Manchester City have had problems away from home this season, they grabbed just 15 points out of 30, compared to Arsenal's 21. They have won at Watford at the beginning of 2016, ending a spell of six away matches without a win. Sergio Aguero has been scoring regularly lately, finding the back of the net four times in his last five matches. Vincent Kompany is still out injured, but Yaya Toure and Raheem Sterling should be brought back into the starting eleven after missing last week's 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Probable line-ups:
West Ham: Adrian - Tomkins, Ogbonna, Collins, Cresswell - Noble, Song, Kouyate - Moses, Payet - Valencia
Man City: Hart - Zabaleta, Otamendi, Demichelis, Kolarov - Fernando, Toure - Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling - Aguero
My prediction: Man City to win 2-1.
