Premier League: Wolverhampton vs Tottenham preview

Wolverhampton are hoping to extend their unbeaten run to ten games in all competitions when they receive the visit of Jose Mourinho's Tottenham at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday. Last season Tottenham won their away match against Wolverhampton 3-2, but in the reverse fixture Wolves won 3-1 after the Spurs had a 1-0 lead at half-time. Overall, Tottenham have won three of the last six direct matches, all in the Premier League.

Wolverhampton are enjoying a very solid season so far, they are unbeaten in their last nine matches in all competitions and have not lost a Premier League match since September 14, when they were defeated at home by Chelsea. Last week they recorded a 2-2 draw at Brighton, a result which droppped them from fifth place to six, while this week they hammered Besiktas 4-0 in the UEFA Europa League. Willy Boly and Morgan Gibbs-White are the only injury concerns for manager Nuno Espirito Santo ahead of this match.

Tottenham are hoping to put toghether a winning streak in the Premier League, since Jose Mourinho has taken charge they have won three of their four league matches but were defeated 2-1 at Manchester United at the start of December. Last week the Spurs recorded a comfortable 5-0 victory over Burnley, while this week they lost 3-1 at Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, but qualification was already secured for both sides before that game. Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele are injury doubts for this match, while Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Erik Lamela and Ben Davies are all out injured.

Probable line-ups:

Wolves: Patricio - Dendoncker, Coady, Saiss - Doherty, Neves, Moutinho, Jonny - Traore, Jimenez, Jota

Tottenham: Gazzaniga - Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen - Sissoko, Dier - Moura, Alli, Son - Kane

My prediction:

Wolverhampton are extremely difficult to beat this season, I think they will extend their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw in this match.
