League leaders Barcelona take on second-placed Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou on Saturday in a match that could well decide who wins the Primera Liga title this season. The two teams are tied on 48 points at the top of the Primera Liga table. Barcelona have won all the last five matches against Atletico Madrid, the last victory was a 2-1 at the Vicente Calderon in this season's reverse fixture. The last victory for Atletico against Barca was in the Champions League in 2014, while their last win at the Camp Nou was back in 2006.
Barcelona are coming from five consecutive league wins, and in between they also managed to reach the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey after defeating Athletic Bilbao in the last sixteen. Last weekend they clinched a 2-1 victory at Malaga, with young Munir El Haddadi and Lionel Messi on the score sheet. Gerard Pique will be available again after suspension, while Jordi Alba and Neymar are in doubt. The latter seems to have better chances of playing though.
Atletico Madrid are coming from a disappointing Copa del Rey exit at the hands of Celta Vigo, they were defeated 3-2 at home this week after a goalless draw in the first leg. Their last league match was also a goalless draw, at home against Sevilla, after a good run of four consecutive league wins. Tiago and Fernando Torres might miss out due to injuries, while Angel Correa is suspended for the match.
Probable line-ups:
Barcelona: Bravo - Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Mathieu - Iniesta, Busquets, Rakitic - Messi, Suarez, Neymar
At. Madrid: Oblak - Juanfran, Gimenez, Godin, Luis - Niguez, Fernandez, Gabi, Koke - Vietto, Griezmann
My prediction: Barcelona to win 3-1.
