AC Milan continue to improve their squad ahead of next season as they confirmed their third transfer of the summer: Swiss left-back Ricardo Rodriguez from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg. The Switzerland international had his agent confirm that he was in talks with AC Milan last week and the Rossoneri have also confirmed the deal on their official Twitter account. Rodriguez arrived in Italy and said: "I am very happy to be here. I have not yet spoken to manager Vincenzo Montella. Forza Milan!"
AC Milan have already signed Villarreal central defender Mateo Musacchio and Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie this summer and head coach Vincenzo Montella has signed a contract extension with the club. The new Chinese owners at AC Milan seem ready to spend important sums of money on new players, the squad has to be improved if they want to do better than last season's sixth place in Serie A. Ricardo Rodriguez, aged 24, has scored 15 goals in 149 league appearances for Wolfsburg after having joined them from FC Zurich in 2012.
Rodriguez is regarded as one of the best young left-backs in Europe and has already earned 43 caps for the Switzerland national team. Mateo Musacchio, aged 26, is another solid addition to the AC Milan defence. He has scored 7 league goals in 189 appearances for Villarreal after having joined them from River Plate back in 2010. Franck Kessie is just 20 years old but he has made quite an impression at Atalanta last season. The young Ivorian midfielder, who can also play as a central defender, scored six goals in 30 league appearances last season.
AC Milan are 10/1 at Bet365 to win the Serie A title next season.
