The 224th edition of the famous "Derby della Madonnina" will take place at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan on Saturday, when AC Milan take on rivals Inter in the most exciting match of the Serie A weekend. Inter have won three of the last six direct matches, while AC Milan only managed to win once, after extra time, in Coppa Italia. AC Milan have not beaten Inter in a Serie A match since 2016, they are really determined to end that streak on Saturday. They started the season with a 1-0 defeat at Udinese, then got a 1-0 victory over Brescia and last week managed to win 1-0 at Verona. The Rossoneri don't have the burden of playing in an European competition this season, that might give them a slight advantage over their rivals in Serie A. Mattia Caldara is still injured while Davide Calabria is suspended.
Inter had a perfect start to the season in Serie A, they won three out of three and are at the top of the table. However, this week they suffered a significant setback in the UEFA Champions League, they were lucky to record a 1-1 draw at home against Slavia Prague thanks to a stoppage-time equalizer scored by Nicolo Barella. Head coach Antonio Conte doesn't have any injury concerns ahead of this match. New signing Alexis Sanchez will most likely make a substitute appearance, while Romelu Lukaku should keep his spot in attack.

My prediction:
Both teams are under construction, with new head coaches and plenty of new players. However, Inter seem a lot more solid than AC Milan at the moment, and I think they will be able to grab a 2-1 win.

Milan...what can I say for them...surely they are in a transition period under the new coach but to be honest for me they look awful right now...probably not even having a good enough squad to compete in a game like this..surely they'll miss the top 4 places this season and the question is how low below that they'd drop.
