Serie A: AC Milan vs Napoli preview

Serie A: AC Milan vs Napoli preview
AC Milan have an important match on Saturday, they are currently in fourth place in Serie A and they host second-placed Napoli at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. The reverse fixture, played at the end of August, saw Napoli fight back from 2-0 down to win the match 3-2. Giacomo Bonaventura and Davide Calabria had scored to put the Rossoneri two goals up, but then Piotr Zielinski scored twice to level the game and Dries Mertens bagged the winning goal on 80 minutes. Napoli are unbeaten in their last eight matches against AC Milan in all competitions, the last victory for AC Milan against Napoli was in 2014. AC Milan are hoping to qualify for the Champions League after a five-year absence, but the battle for a spot in the top four will surely be fierce until the very last day of the season. The Rossoneri grabbed a good 2-0 victory at Genoa last week, five days after having lost the Italian Super Cup match to Juventus. That victory kept AC Milan in fourth place, six points behind third-placed Inter and just one point above fifth-placed Roma. Cristian Zapata, Mattia Caldara, Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura are all out injured. Striker Gonzalo Higuain was shipped out on loan at Chelsea earlier this week, with Genoa's Krzysztof Piatek coming in as a replacement. Napoli seem in control of their customary second place behind Juventus, they are seven points clear of third-placed Inter but nine points behind the leaders. They grabbed two wins out of two matches after the winter break, 2-0 over Sassuolo in the Italian Cup and then a 2-1 home victory over Lazio in Serie A last weekend. Jose Callejon and Arkadiusz Milik scored the goals against Lazio, it was a pretty important victory considering that Napoli were missing important players like Kalidou Koulibaly, Marek Hamsik and Lorenzo Insigne. Allan, Insigne and Koulibaly will return from suspension, while Hamsik should have recovered from his injury. Probable line-ups: AC Milan: Donnarumma - Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez - Paqueta, Bakayoko, Kessie - Suso, Cutrone, Calhanoglu Napoli: Meret - Malcuit, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam - Callejon, Allan, Hamsik, Ruiz - Mertens, Insigne My prediction: Napoli to win 2-1, the visitors seem stronger at the moment. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: AC Milan win - 3.75 Draw - 3.50 Napoli win - 2.00
