Rivals Juventus and Torino clash in the Turin derby on Saturday evening at the Allianz Stadium. Juventus won the away game 3-1 last season but in the reverse fixture Torino managed to hold them to a 1-1 draw. Juventus have dominated the derby lately, they have won eight of the last ten meetings and lost just once. Torino have won the derby just once since 1999, a 2-1 home victory in 2015. Even though Juventus are a much better side, the derby always brings the best out of Torino so we should expect a hard-fought match.
Juventus have won all five Serie A matches so far this season and they are tied at the top of the table with Napoli. However, they lost both matches they played in other competitions: 3-2 against Lazio in the Italian Super Cup and 3-0 at Barcelona in the Champions League. Last weekend they edged past Fiorentina 1-0 in Serie A. Marko Pjaca, Mattia De Sciglio, Claudio Marchisio and Sami Khedira are injured and won't be able to play, while head coach Massimiliano Allegri might rest one or two players ahead of next week's Champions League match against Olympiakos.
Torino are enjoying a very good start to the season, they are unbeaten in six matches in all competitions and have won four of those games. Last weekend they secured a 3-2 victory at Udinese and climbed to fifth position in the Serie A table. Antonio Barreca and Joel Obi are injured and will sit this one out. Cristian Molinaro should take Barreca's place at left-back while head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will be able to send in most of his preferred first-team regulars in the starting eleven.
