We might see another change of leader in Serie A on Sunday, when third-placed Lazio host current leaders Inter at Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The Nerazzurri won the reverse fixture 1-0 in September with a first-half goal from Danilo D'Ambrosio. Inter have won three of the last six direct matches in all competitions and Lazio have won just one, 1-0 in Milan last season. The last time Lazio defeated Inter in Rome was in 2016.
Lazio suffered a slight setback last week, they played a game in hand at home against Verona on Wednesday and only managed to get a goalless draw. However, they recovered at the weekend with a 1-0 victory at Parma, and now they are just one point behind leaders Inter. They are undefeated in the last eighteen league matches but won just two of the last four. Senad Lulic is the only injury concern for the home side, he will be out for a few weeks, but Stefan Radu and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are back from suspension and will slot right back into the starting eleven.
Inter are back at the top of the table, defending champions Juventus lost at Verona last week and the Nerazzurri took full advantage as they fought back from 2-0 down to beat local rivals AC Milan 4-2. This week Inter had a tough Coppa Italia match to play against Napoli and they lost it 1-0, even though head coach Antonio Conte fielded most of his usual first-team regulars. Roberto Gagliardini is the only injury concern for the visitors, who will welcome Lautaro Martinez back into the first eleven after the striker has served his suspension.
