Serie A fans from all over the world can enjoy a big match in the Italian capital on Wednesday evening as fourth-placed Lazio take on current leaders Napoli at the Olympic Stadium. Last season Napoli won this fixture 3-0 but Lazio did manage to snatch a 1-1 draw away from home earlier in the campaign. Lazio have not beaten Napoli since 2015, when they pulled off a spectacular 4-2 victory in Naples. Overall, Napoli have won four of the last six direct league meetings.
Lazio are still undefeated in Serie A this season, they started out with a great 3-2 triumph over Juventus in the Super Cup, then were held to a surprise goalless draw by Spal but recovered to win three games in a row. Last weekend they won 3-2 at Genoa and despite the win they can be worried about their defence as they conceded in five of their six competitive matches so far. Felipe Anderson and Wallace are injured, but Nani could get a place in the squad after having worked on his fitness in recent weeks.
Napoli had a perfect start to the season in Serie A, they won four matches out of four and scored no less than 15 goals in the process. Last weekend they stormed past Benevento and recorded a 6-0 victory in Naples, just a few days after the only disappointment of the season so far: the 2-1 defeat at Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. Head coach Maurizio Sarri doesn't have any injury concerns ahead of this match, so he will be able to field his best eleven.
