Another edition of the Turin Derby will take place on Sunday as Torino host Serie A defending champions Juventus at the Olympic Stadium. The two teams have already met twice this season, both times at the Allianz Stadium, and Juventus won the Serie A match 4-0 and the Coppa Italia game 2-0. Juventus have won six of the last seven derby matches, while Torino have not tasted victory against their rivals since a 2-1 success in 2015. Overall, Juventus have won 102 editions of the Derby, 238 were played since 1907.
Torino are producing another season of mid-table mediocrity, they are currently ninth in the Serie A table and they don't seem capable of pushing for a top-six finish. The only important thing that is left for their fans would be a good result against their ancient rivals Juventus and they can be quite optimistic this time since Torino are unbeaten in their last five matches. Last week Torino recorded a 2-0 home victory over Udinese. Lyanco is the only injury concern for the home side as Afriyie Acquah returns from suspension.
Juventus have not lost a match since November 19, that's a streak of seventeen matches without defeat in all competitions. They even had an eleven-match winning streak going on before this week's Champions League clash with Tottenham, which ended in a disappointing 2-2 draw for Juventus after the Bianconeri had built a two-goal lead in the first ten minutes of the match. Head coach Massimiliano Allegri will most likely rotate a few of this players ahead of next week's second leg against Tottenham, while Benedikt Howedes, Blaise Matuidi and Juan Cuadrado remain injured.

Juventus and Napoli are in a furious race for the title this season and both teams are pretty convincing in their Seria A games lately. Because of that it was unlikely Torino to be able to stop Juventus. So still after that win Juventus is very much in the race, in fact they are the favourites for the title and any other outcome in this battle with Napoli should be considered as a favourite I think.
