Big things are continuously happening for virtual sports specialist, Inspired. After having just extended a contract with the 49's last month, the company has just signed one of the biggest names in the NBA, representing the second of its products to be promoted by a celebrity athlete.
Serving as the face for its new Rush Basketball game, scheduled for release next year, is retired basketball player, Shaquille O'Neal, who played for teams such as the LA Lakers, Boston Celtic, and Orlando Magic. Per the agreement, he will appear in products launched by the supplier's Virgo Remote Games Server platform, including those created for casino & lottery, land-based sports, and others.
Having spent a total of 19 years in the NBA, O'Neal brings a lot to the contract, serving as one of only three players to win the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP, All-Star Game MVP, and Finals MVP, all in the course of a single year. Earlier this year, he was even inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
As a retired player, O'Neal spends his time as a post-game analyst on 'Inside the NBA,' which airs on TNT. As part of his new role, he is scheduled to appear at Inspired's stand at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo, which will take place later this month.
Inspired chief commercial officer for digital games, Steve Rogers, stated “Inspired is delighted to announce this partnership with basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal through our partnership with Pavilion Worldwide. Our Rush Basketball product group promises to be the best on the market, using our latest technology and filming techniques to bring players their most authentic virtual sports experience yet.”
Rogers added, “Following our first ever virtual sports deployment in casinos in North America and the forthcoming online deployments in New Jersey, Inspired is looking forward to expanding its offering to include premium games such as Rush Basketball in the near future. We know that the combination of Inspired's world leading virtual products and Shaq will be a winning formula.”
