Sky Bet Sponsors Summer Sprint Series for 2nd Year

Sky Bet will serve as sponsor of the Summer Sprint Series at Royal Windsor Racecourse. The sponsorship marks the second, consecutive year for the online betting and gaming operator. The series consists of 10 races, and kicked off on Monday, April 24th. It won’t be finished until the £75,000 Sky Bet Royal Windsor Sprint Series Handicap Finale, which is scheduled for August 21st. According to Sky Bet Racing PR Manager, Michal Shinners, "Sky Bet is delighted to sponsor the Sky Bet Summer Sprint Series at Royal Windsor again. The first series in 2016 was a tremendous success and it was great to see regular Royal Windsor performer Stellarta land a deserved success in the finale for her connections. With £75,000 on offer in the finale, we expect to see highly-competitive racing throughout the Sky Bet Summer Sprint Series." Those competing in the races will have the opportunity to qualify for the finale. To be eligible, any of the competitors have to finish within the first six spots in any of the first nine races. A total of eight of these nine races are set up as part of Royal Windsor’s Monday Night fixtures. May 29th marks the date of the Bank Holiday fixture, during which the final contest will take place. There’s no telling who will take home the trophy for this year’s event, but we can reminisce on last year’s finale, during which Stellarta took the win, with trainer Michael Blanshard.
