The Spanish football season kicks off on Sunday with a big fixture as Barcelona and Real Madrid clash in the first leg of the Super Cup at Camp Nou. The two teams have met in a friendly match this summer and Barcelona won it 3-2, but the Blaugrana surely haven't forgotten that Real Madrid beat them to the league title last season. The two teams have last met in the Super Cup in 2012 and Real Madrid grabbed the trophy after a 3-2 defeat away and a 2-1 victory at home.
Barcelona have sold Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain, the biggest transfer in the history of football, but so far they have not be able to use some of that money to get a replacement. They did have good results in their pre-season campaign, four wins and a draw, but Neymar's departure could have a big impact for Ernesto Valverde and his team. Thomas Vermaelen and Rafinha are injured and could miss out.
Real Madrid should be full of confidence after having won the European Super Cup this week following a 2-1 victory over Manchester United. Their pre-season results haven't been that good, but they have proven in the match against Man United that they can rally when it really matters. Luka Modric is unavailable through suspension and Isco will most likely replace him in midfield.

Barcelona: Ter Stegen - Vidal, Pique, Umtiti, Alba - Iniesta, Busquets, Rakitic - Messi, Suarez, Deulofeu
Real Madrid: Navas - Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo - Kroos, Casemiro, Isco - Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo
My prediction: 1-1 draw.

This two games are maybe indicative of what expecting use in the course of season, maybe Barcelona lost their magic, there are cycles in live and they are on the down side right now...maybe:)
