Surprise Premier League champions Leicester City make their Champions League debut on Wednesday when they travel to Belgium to face Club Bruges. The Belgian club have been in the Champions League before, but not since 2005-2006. Last season Bruges faced Manchester United in the Champions League play-offs and that didn't end well for them as they let in seven goals in two matches.
Belgian champions Club Brugge have gone through a rough start to the season as they secured just two wins out of their first six league matches. They have not won any of their last three games, losing two of them. Last week they lost 1-0 at Beveren. Head coach Michel Preud'homme has just three players out of contention for Wednesday's match: Lior Refaelov, Felipe Gedoz and Wesley.
The season didn't start to well for Leicester City either, after shocking the football world last season the Foxes are now upsetting their own fans. Claudio Ranieri's men have won just one of their first four Premier League matches this season. Last weekend they got hammered 4-1 by Liverpool, a defeat that could be the start of a real crisis for the Foxes. Danny Simpson and Jeffrey Schlupp are still injured, but Nampalys Mendy could return.
Probable line-ups:
Bruges: Butelle - Cools, Engels, Denswil, Bock - Vormer, Vanaken, Claudemir, Simons, Limbobe - Diaby
Leicester: Schmeichel - Hernandez, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs - Mahrez, King, Drinkwater, Albrighton - Slimani, Vardy
My prediction: Leicester to win 1-0.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
