Qualification is still up for grabs as Manchester United host Sevilla at Old Trafford on Tuesday in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie. The Red Devils secured a goalless draw away from home in the first leg and that result gives them a slight advantage, but Sevilla could pull through with a scoring draw. So far Sevilla have won five of their fourteen meetings against English sides in European competitions, while Manchester United have won just 13 out of 51 matches against Spanish teams.
Manchester United have been recording great results lately, they have won their last three Premier League matches and consolidated their second place in the league table. Moreover, two of these three matches were at home against fellow big teams and they won them both: 2-1 against Chelsea at the end of February and 2-1 over Liverpool last weekend. Paul Pogba missed last weekend's derby with an injury and he might be out of contention for the Champions League match as well. Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo remain injured.
Sevilla played four league matches since the first leg, quite a busy schedule, and they only managed to win two of them. Their chances of finishing inside the top-four in LaLiga are almost non-existent at the moment and they might even fail to finish in the top six if they continue with this kind of inconsistent form. Last weekend they lost 2-0 at home against fourth-placed Valencia, and at the end of February they also got beaten at home by Atletico Madrid. Sebastien Corchia and Jesus Navas are injured and won't make the trip to Manchester.

Well, don't know where to start... United were terrible(again) in that one, and Seville fully deserved to qualify for the next round. The fact is that they were the most desirable opponent for all of the rest teams who left in the tournament and that in fact just shows how poor United have done against such opponent.
