UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying: Kosovo vs England preview

Kosovo are looking to end their UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying campaign on a high note when they host Group A leaders England at Fadil Vokrri Stadium in Pristina. The reverse fixture was a spectacular one, England won 5-3 at Wembley after Valon Berisha had put Kosovo ahead very early in the game. Raheem Sterling scored the first goal for England in that match and he will return to the squad for Sunday's game following his dispute with Liverpool's Joe Gomez earlier this week.

Kosovo can be very proud of their campaign, they pushed for qualification and came pretty close, while recording some remarkable results along the way. This week their race for qualification came to an end when they lost 2-1 away against the Czech Republic, their second defeat of the campaign. They are set to finish third in the group ahead of Montenegro and Bulgaria, and quite a few points ahead of them. Star striker Vedat Muriqi will miss out due to an injury, but Atdhe Nuhiu managed to score in his absence against the Czech Republic.

England had a very good campaign so far and managed to secure their qualification with two games to spare. Now they are also certain of their place at the top of the group table after this week's 7-0 victory over Montenegro, the Three Lions put on a real show at Wembley Stadium and Harry Kane netted a hat-trick. England have now scored an incredible thirteen goals in their last two matches, and with nothing to lose they should produce some entertainment in Pristina as well.

Probable line-ups:

Kosovo: Muric - Vojvoda, Rrahmani, Aliti, Kololli - Berisha, Halimi - Zhegrova, Celina, Rashica - Nuhiu

England: Pickford - Trippier, Maguire, Mings, Chilwell - Oxlade-Chamberlain, Winks, Henderson - Rashford, Kane, Sterling

My prediction:

Both teams will be free of any pressure in this match, so they should put on a good show while playing to score goals. I believe that England will get the win here, but Kosovo should be able to score as well, I expect a 3-1 victory for the Three Lions.

Here are the odds for this match at NetBet
