Inter Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt are looking to reach the quarter-finals of a continental competition for the first time in years when the two sides clash at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Thursday in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League last-sixteen tie. The first leg ended goalless, so Inter have a slight advantage ahead of the second leg since they are playing it at home. The Nerazurri have won 16 of their 38 European matches against German teams and 9 out of 17 at home, while Eintracht Frankfurt have won two of their three away matches against Italian sides.
Inter have not reached the last eight of an European competition since 2011, when they lost to Bundesliga side Schalke 04 in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Since then the Nerazzurri stopped twice in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League and the last time they lost to yet another German side, VfL Wolfsburg. Last weekend Inter secured a 2-0 home victory over Spal in Serie A and consolidated their fourth place in the league table. Kwadwo Asamoah and Lautaro Martinez are suspended for Thursday's match, while Sime Vrsaljko is injured. Star striker Mauro Icardi still hasn't resolved his disagreements with the club and will most likely be excluded from the squad for this match.
Eintracht Frankfurt have not gone so far in an European competition since 1995, when they got knocked out in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals by Serie A side Juventus. They are still undefeated in 2019 after having played eleven matches in all competitions, and in the previous round they knocked out Shakhtar Donetsk with a 4-1 home victory after a 2-2 draw in Ukraine. Last week they secured a 3-0 Bundesliga win at Dusseldorf to remain fifth in the league table. Gelson Fernandes is suspended for this match, while Lucas Torro will miss out due to an injury.

My prediction: 1-1 draw, the German side is ready to make history and they seem more determined than Inter to pull through.

I didn't saw that one but I've have he chance of seeing a few Eintracht games in the Bundesliga this season and I think they've been doing really well, creating a lot of scoring opportunities in most of the games. So that result doesn't really surprised me and from what I've heard Eintracht should of scored another 3 or 4 with the chances they've got which could of make the result really embarrassing for the Milan grand.
