Premier League: Everton sign Moise Kean

Premier League side Everton have completed a pretty exciting transfer, they signed 19-year-old Italian striker Moise Kean from Serie A champions Juventus. Everton have paid an initial 25 million pounds to Juventus, but the transfer fee could eventually rise to 27.5 million pounds. Kean, who is regarded as one of the most talented young forwards in Europe, signed a five-year contract with Everton.

"I am very proud and honoured to wear the Everton shirt. I will give my best to this team," Kean said after signing the contract. "I was convinced to sign because Everton is a club looking to the future and so am I. I know about the size of the Club. It has big ambition and I will work very hard to help us fulfil what we want to achieve. I am used to winning and I want to bring this winning attitude to the team. I hope I will be very good on the field and bring the fans joy."

Moise Kean joined Juventus at the age of 10 and then made his debut for the senior team in 2016, when he was just 16 years old. He became the club's youngest-ever debutant and the first player born in the 2000s to compete in one of Europe's four major leagues. In the final match of the 2016-2017 season he managed to score his first goal for Juventus, a goal which gave his side a 2-1 victory over Bologna. In the 2017-2018 season he was sent out on loan at Verona, while last season he scored 7 goals in 17 appearances for Juventus. He also has two goals in three appearances for the senior national team of Italy.

Everton manager Marco Silva said: "A striker was one of our priority signings this summer. Moise is strong, fast, with many good qualities as a striker and he is just 19 years old. He has talent and he is ready to work, ready to improve our squad and gives us different solutions." Kean is the fifth signing of the summer for Everton after Mainz midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin joined for £25 million pounds, Andre Gomes has made his move from Barcelona permanent for 22 million pounds, midfielder Fabian Delph has joined from Manchester City for 10 million pounds and goalkeeper Jonas Lossl has arrived from Huddersfield Town.

Everton finished 8th in the Premier League last season and now they are 4/1 at William Hill to finish in the top six.
